The Lobster Ponds Haven offers a unique experience of seeing these extraordinary creatures in a natural habitat. While strolling through our native gardens you may be fortunate to spot a lobster or two in the ponds. Listen for the frog calls and songs of the native birds as you take time to enjoy the peaceful environment.
Situated at Flowerdale just 10 minutes from Wynyard, the Lobster Ponds Haven is enhanced by our Cafe. As you relax and enjoy a quiet cuppa or light home style refreshments, take in the beautiful views overlooking the picturesque neighbouring farms and Flowerdale countryside.
A current project under construction is an exhibition aviary to house the critically endangered Orange bellied parrot and native finches.
The Lobster Ponds Haven and Cafe offers you a unique experience of meeting these extraordinary endangered creatures in their natural habitat, therefore there are no lobsters on our menu.
