AUSTRALIAN AVIATION HERITAGE CENTRE
The Centre has an impressive presentation of aircraft and displays the Territory’s involvement in aviation, both civil and military, from The Pioneers and Record Breakers through World War II and The Jet Age. The Major Display item is a B-52 Bomber on permanent loan from the USA Air force and is one of only three on Public Display in the world outside the USA. An interesting display of other Historical Aircraft including Zero Wreckage, this Aircraft was part of the Japanese Raids of Pearl Harbour and Darwin on the 19th Feb 1942. Spitfire replica, Sabre Jetfighter, Mirage Jet Fighter and B-25 Bomber under restoration. See our latest exhibit—an Ex RAAF F-111C A8-113! We also have Graphic Displays and a Video Presentation on the Bombing of Darwin.
