The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre takes you on a journey back in time to when the Echuca Wharf was the largest inland port in Australia. Explore the story of Echuca/Moama’s pioneering spirit and learn how Australia’s inland river system connected a fledgling colony to the growing cities and the outside world. Our complimentary guided tour (groups over 20 choose their own time) will see our expert tour guides teaching you the history and importance of the river trade, whilst also pointing out interesting exhibits and artefacts along the way. Each tour is expertly modified to suit different aged attendees to ensure an enjoyable experience for all. Self-guided exploration is also encouraged. View the working steam display, Evans Brother’s Sawmill, magnificent redgum walkways, interactive indoor displays, exhibits and the Nationally Heritage-Listed Echuca Wharf: all part of the Discovery Centre experience.
