AUSTRALIAN ARID LANDS BOTANIC GARDEN

Be amazed at the beauty of the low-rainfall Australian plants at our 250-hectare garden, one of the region’s premier visitor attractions. Entry is FREE, with bus parking close to the Visitor Centre and at Redcliffs Lookout, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Flinders Ranges and Spencer Gulf. The popular café in the visitor centre caters for the coach market, including breakfast, lunch and dinners. A unique gift shop is great for souvenirs and plants can be purchased. The garden is home to one of the largest public eremophila collections in the world, and also features plants from a number of low-rainfall regions including the Flinders Ranges, Gawler Ranges and Great Victoria Desert. The iconic Sturt Peas are often a feature. Bird watching is very popular and while they can be viewed from two specially built bird hides, birds are found in every corner of the garden with their song adding to the peace and tranquility. Wander the garden on four marked walking tracks, with disability-access paths in the gardens immediately surrounding the visitor centre.
