CANBERRA DEEP SPACE COMMUNICATION COMPLEX

The Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex is part of NASA’s Deep Space Network, responsible for sending and receiving signals from robotic spacecraft exploring the far reaches of our Solar System.

Visitors to the Complex can take in magnificent views of the antennas, including the massive 70-metre dish - Deep Space Station 43 - the largest antenna in the Southern Hemisphere. The visitor centre features exhibits on space exploration including space hardware and memorabilia, and a 3.8 billion year old piece of Moon rock, one of only a handful on display to the public anywhere in the world.

Time at the Centre can be enjoyed by looking through the displays which include clear and concise information, watching movies in the space theatre, or using one of the many hands-on, interactive exhibits.
