HISTORIC DAYDREAM MINE



 

Drive on scenic road to view  the ruins of an old smelter built in 1884 for the Daydream Mine.  See how a Cornish miner and his family lived and worked in the 1880s, and what they lived in, before Broken Hill was even found.

21 klms North of Broken Hill along Silverton Rd. Turn right onto Daydream Mine Road (12 klm of good unsealed road maintained by R&MS.) About ½ hour drive time needed.
