SIR REGINALD ANSETT TRANSPORT MUSEUM
The Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum is based on the Ansett Transport Industries (ATI) original Aircraft Hanger. Centre pieces on display are a 1927 Fokker Universal Aircraft (VH-UTO), similar to Reg’s first passenger aircraft; a 1928 Studebaker car, Reg’s first taxi (commenced 5 Dec 1931); an Ansett Pioneer Clipper Coach, a set of Ansett Flight Attendants Uniforms from the different eras. Some 82 Aircraft Models of different aircraft operated by ATI, from the foyer of ATI Melbourne Head Office. Ansett’s original Wright Whirlwind J5 radial aircraft engine & propeller, 14 cylinder Pratt & Whitney Wasp Radial engine and a Textron Lycoming Jet Engine (BAE 146). Lots of Ansett memorabilia as donated by former Ansett Staff or the public - Golden Wing Club Passes; items for passenger comfort. Lots of photos, portraits & manuals. Ansett Souvenirs and memorabilia available for purchase - sorry no EFTPOS
Address Cnr. Ballarat Road and Riley Street HAMILTON Vic 3300 Open 10.00 am - 4.00 pm everyday except ANZAC Day, Good Friday & Christmas Day. Features Facilities Disabled Access, Coach parking, Public toilets, Electric BBQ, Children’s play ground incorporating a skate park - all adjacent to Lake Hamilton.
